JOBS NOW! SF provides Federal stimulus funds for businesses to hire the employees they need – benefiting local people and businesses hurt by the recession. These funds are available to pay 100% of the eligible employee’s salary. The Federal funding for the program is available between May 2009 and September 2010.

Consistent with the goals of the Federal stimulus, the program’s goals are to create jobs and stimulate the local economy. JOBS NOW! SF is already funding a wide variety of jobs including innovative tech and green jobs that will help grow the city economy as we emerge from the recession. To date, more than 1,000 employers are participating in the program, and more than 3,600 people are now employed through the JOBS NOW! SF program.
